For more than four decades, Bill Stone has been a pillar of the Georgia legal community, not only for his courtroom success but for his unwavering commitment to justice, ethics, and mentorship in the field of personal injury and medical malpractice law.

Academic and Professional Foundation

Bill earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a major in accounting from the University of Georgia in 1975 and went on to receive his Juris Doctor from UGA School of Law in 1977. That same year, he was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia, followed by admission to the Alabama Bar in 1985.

He’s also admitted to practice before multiple U.S. District Courts and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits.

Bill’s areas of practice span personal injury, wrongful death, professional malpractice, product liability, commercial litigation, and consumer fraud — representing those whose lives have been altered by negligence or misconduct.

He’s also an accomplished legal writer and speaker, with numerous published articles in The Verdict (GTLA), covering topics from jury trials to emotional distress law and wrongful death litigation. His writings reflect both his legal intellect and his deep empathy for the human stories behind every case.

A Life of Community and Character

While Bill’s professional achievements are vast, his roots remain firmly planted in community and family. A past president of the Blakely Rotary Club and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Blakely, Bill has always led with a sense of purpose, humility, and service.

He is also a proud father to five children — Ryals, Katie, James, John, and Andrew — with Ryals continuing the family tradition as an attorney with Boone & Stone.
